4/14/06 practice  Childersburg Speedway-- We went to shake the car down and make sure no bolts fell off or tire rubs.

4/15/06 1st race TST--- The car was good out of the box, alittle loose in and off. Started last in the heat, finished 4th.   Started 10th in feature and finished 5th. It was a good showing for the first race, car shows alot of promise.

4/22/06  Broke a rear gear in the heat started, started 18th and finished 8th. The car was good, not enough laps and cars all over the place. Did not need to push the issue.

4/28/06  Friday night at TST---Started 6th finished 3rd. Pressuring 2nd and the leader at the end. The track got real greasy, leaders were on the top and Kevin started to get the bottom to working, just alittle too late.

4/29/06  Sat night TST---Started 6th finished 5th. On lap 2 Kevin jumped what cushion there was and almost went off the track. He gathered the car and re-entered the line in position 15, since a caution did not fly the leaders got away. He came back to 5th, the car reacted to all the adjustments. The track was not good after a show the night before. But it was that way for everybody.

5/6/06   Taking the weekend off. We had some illness in the family and are waiting on some parts. We've about got the car ready to travel to some away shows. We will be putting together a summer schedule for traveling to some money events in the midwest.

5/13/06   Sat night TST---Started 9th in the feature and finished 3rd. The car was working better then the leaders, but you can't drive through them. Overall it was the best the car has been.

5/20/06   Sat night TST---Started 8th in the feature and finished 2nd.  Kevin went from 8th to 4th in one lap and took the lead on lap 4 and led the next 15 laps and lost the lead on the white flag lap due to a lap car. The car was better. In 7 races we have finished out of the top 5 one time. Good average for a new car.

5/27/06   Sat night TST---Broke KSE fuel pump after hot laps, did not even make the heat race. We hardly ever have any part failures, must of just been time. The KSE pump has never failed but it did have 1 full season on it without any problem I guess we were due.

6/03/06  Sat night TST---Started 7th in the heat race and finished 2nd. Started 9th in the feature and finished 4th. About halfway the intake gasket started leaking and the engine got 240 degrees. Kevin started rolling out of the throttle to keep it from getting too hot. I really don't like the IMCA starting positions, you get punished for having consistent finishes.

6/10/06 Sat night TST---Started 7th in the heat race and finished 1st by about a straight away. Started 8th in the feature, moved to 3rd at one point. Kevin hung around the bottom of the track too long and slipped back to 8th. Kevin finally moved to the middle of the track with about 4 laps left and started picking 1 or 2 a lap and finished 4th.

6/17/06 Sat night TST----Started 7th in the heat and finished 1st.  Started 10th in the feature and took the lead on lap 12 and never looked back. 1st feature win in the Shaw car.

6/24/06 Sat TST-----RAINOUT

7/08/06---- Started 6th in the heat finished 2nd..  started 7th in the feature came to 3rd in the 1st lap. the driveshaft broke on the 2nd lap, ending what was going to be a good night. We had one of the fastest cars tonight.

7/15/06----Started 4th in heat and finished 3rd..  Started 6th in feature and finished 2nd. The track had alot of racing on it before our feature which made it a one lane racetrack. Kevin got to 2nd quick and tried the bottom a couple of laps and finally settled in behind the leader and they put a straight away on the rest of the field. The top 2 were running identical lap times. You could throw a blanket over the top 2 that last 10 laps of the race. on a good note, no fix-it-fund this week Doc.

8/5/06----Started 6th in the heat and finished 1st.  Started 9th in the feature(I hate IMCA starting procedures) moved up to 5th and was spun out in corner 3 by the 12 car. Restarted 16th on lap 8 and came back to 6th. Track was bad dry because of the lack of rain. Kevin burned up the rear tires coming from the rear. 

8/12/06----Started 6th in the heat and finished 3rd. Started 9th in the feature (I still don't like IMCA starting procedures) Finished 3rd and when they crossed the line the top 3 were side by side. The changes we made to the car were good because the track was again bad dry.

8/19/06----Started 7th in the heat and finished 2nd.. Started 8th in the feature and finished 1st, took the lead on the 2nd lap and finished a straight ahead of 2nd place.  2nd Feature win the Shaw car!!

8/26/06----Started 7th in the heat and finished 2nd.   Started 9th in the main and finished 1st. 3rd Feature win in the Shaw car..

9/02/06---- I could write a book on last nights events.  IMCA should seriously look at this starting order, we had to start 6th out of 7 cars in the heat and won by a straight away. Lined up for the feature 5th row inside( win a heat and lineup 9th-go figure?), coming out of turn 2  the number 9 car which started on the pole spun out in front of the field, Kevin had no where to go and the right front was was into that car and 2 more cars piled into the rear. early checks indicate a bent rearend  housing and axle assembly and most of the steering components on the right front.               The two cars that started on the front row were lapped two weeks in a row during a 20 lap race, the 9 car or the 11 had no!! business beginning the race on the front row, the 9 car has trouble completing a lap without spinning out.    These new or not good drivers should take theirselves off the front row then maybe they wouldn't tear up other people's racecars or their own.                   

9/16/06----Started 6th in the heat race and got took out, flattened the right front (new) tire and finished last in the heat.  Started 14th in the feature and finished 4th, all things considered, including a bent lower balljoint on the right front we passed more cars than anyone. If Kevin could have started closer to the front it would have probably been another win.

9/22-9/23/06---TST Jamboree postphoned until 10/27-10/28

If the weather looks good, we will travel to Columbus Ms 9/23

9/30-10/01/06---Columbus Ms. Bad luck with drawing for qualifing, started in the rear of the heat race. Finished 5th and needed to finish 2nd.  Started inside 2nd row for the consulation race, finished 4th and needed to finish 2nd to make the feature. We found out if we want to go to a non-sanctioned race, we need more horsepower. We got out motored this weekend.

10/06-10/07/06--- Talladega Nextel Cup Weekend. 10/06/06--Started 6th in the heat and finished 3rd, there were 3 heats so that made a 9th place starting position for the feature. We finished 7th On Friday with a skip in the engine later to be found out to be a coil and a plug wire. 10/07/06 Started 2nd in the heat and finished 1st, broke a rearend gear and had to change gears. Started on the pole for the feature, the bottom of the race track was worn out from the 50 lap late model race so Kevin had to work his way to the top of the race track and finished 3rd. We probably could have did better if we could have worked on the setup rather than changing gears. No real excuses, we were not on top of our game  this night.

11/03-11/04--- Talladega finally gets the season ending race in.  Kevin qualified Friday with not very good results, He started on the outside front row and ended up in 4th. I missed the setup. The 4th place finished lined us up 10th for the Saturday feature. Saturday was a different day and different setup. Kevin started 10th and finished 3rd, the two cars in front of him started on the front row and Kevin started 10th. A good ending to a bad start.
